Although paddling in the sun is great, a little rain never hurt anyone, however the paddlers at the Vessi 500 Championship were lucky that it was only light at times this past weekend.
The FC Masters paddled three, 500 m races landing them in the Women’s A Final. Unfortunately the women’s races, held in the morning, did not end the way the team had hoped. Although their race time improved with each race, and their best time of the day was in the final, the FC Masters finished in fourth place this time. This result is simply extra incentive to continue striving for improvement!
Regardless of the outcome of any given race, the team is continually working hard, and working together, to become better, faster, and stronger.
Next up for the team is the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival, a two day regatta, running Saturday, June 22nd and Sunday June 23rd!
