From 200M to 2000M. Also called “guts to glory” for good reason. It would be a test of everyone’s early season fitness. The regatta atmosphere did not disappoint, all the excitement still bounced around the tents, excitement of racing and excitement of the familiar faces ready to negotiate the crowded turns and grueling distance.
The seeding race for the 2000M was a 1000M. We were thrilled to hear that we had got the best time, and therefore got to chase but starting last. So fun! The turns were wild, and in the end we all left everything on the water, and a very proud silver medal to show for it. Whoot Whoot.
