The Burnwater Spring Sprint kicked off the 2024 paddling season on False Creek, with 3 X 500 M races in all divisions. The day started off with the Burnwater Youth Regatta in the morning, followed by the Spring Sprint in the afternoon.
The weather was windy at times, but beautiful overall. It was so great to be paddling in the sun again!
The False Creek Masters were thrilled to be debuting their new race jerseys, beautifully designed by Manuela Salinas, who is Coast Salish of the shishalh Nation and an Indigenous artist. The False Creek Masters got some beautiful new bronze hardware to go with their new jerseys, coming in third place in the Women’s A Final.
It is always great starting a new dragon boat season, and this past weekend was no exception.
